James St. New Room, New Menu, New Look launched
James St’ is the unification of two iconic Belfast restaurants – James Street South and The Bar + Grill – to create one new ‘bistronomy’ experience under one roof.
Open from September 2018 with a new name and brand, menu and feel, James St provides diners with a unique culinary experience which offers the best of The Bar + Grill’s menu complemented with the fine dining touches of James Street South.
With thought, time, quality and provenance at its heart, the James St menu champions creativity and local artisan produce with established dishes including crab and chilli linguine or Dundrum crab on toast. Classic bistro dishes will include a farmhouse terrine while stunning ‘fruits de mer’ plates will be available from Thursday every week.
The signature charcoal grill will continue to cook the best of Northern Ireland’s steak and prime cuts, as well as fresh whole fish, pork and vegetables.
A larger, dedicated bar area will provide a wide range of wines by the glass, locally produced beers and ciders with an extensive whiskey offering and N.I’s artisan gins part of a considered spirit list.
Amalgamating the entire floor space of both restaurants, the brand new restaurant introduces a new hospitality experience to a new generation of discerning diners and answers the burgeoning demand from local and global visitors for a more bistro–style, all–day dining experience.
The restaurant team is headed up by Restaurant Manager Paul McGovern and Montero Agostino as Head Chef in the kitchen.
